What Is Genetically Modified Organism (GMO)? And 5 Way to Avoid it

What Is Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)?

GMO foods can enhance crop yields and resistance to pests, but concerns persist about health effects, biodiversity, and environmental impact, sparking ongoing debate.Gmo is a process in which scientists takes genes from one species and force it into the DNA or RNA of other species in the laboratory which creates an unstable combinations of plants and animal, bacterial and viral genes which cannot occur in nature. They create an artificial life form that is impossible to produce in nature because the reproductive organs don't match. As a result, once this form is created, it causes danger which cross-pollinate and contaminate traditional crops.

High Risk Foods are: Papaya, Canola, Alfalfa, Potatoes, Salmon, Pig, Tomatoes, Soy, Sugar Beets, Corn, Zucchini, Cotton, animal products (milk meats, eggs, honey etc) because of contamination in feed.

9 FACTS ABOUT GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISM (GMO). (1. ) There are over 170 million acres of gmo corn, cotton, sugar beets and soy bean in the United States. (2.) The first genetically modified animal is salmon which will soon be approved for human consumption. The gmo salmon grows twice as fast as the regular salmon.

(3. They built an industrial model which doesn't fit nature. They are changing nature to accommodate the industrial model. (4.) The pharmaceutical industries have no interest in having you well because they do not make any money if you are healthy. (5. 90% of US and Canadian foods are produced by genetic modification.

(6.) 95% of the genetic modifications are done in other to allow the plants to survive more chemicals been sprayed on them and to allow animals to survive more drugs been put on them. What happens is when their genes are changed, our genes are changed by eating them and the change is permanent.

(7.) Rats that ate the genetic modified potatoes got sick within 10 days of study. They had pre- cancerous cell growth in their digestive tract, smaller brains, livers and testicles, damaged immune system which was caused by the process of genetic engineering. No human clinical trials with genetic modified foods have ever been conducted.

(8.) Animal feeding studies linked gmo to reproductive problems, accelerated aging, organ damage, gastrointestinal distress, dysfunctional regulation of cholesterol and insulin, damages organs, infertility, immune system failure, holes in the gastrointestinal tract, multiple organ system failure, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, toxins, new diseases.

(9.) They Engineer food to make it most profitable, whatever negative aspect of that are irrelevant. They tend to over look the consequences. There have been little study on health dangers. They also try to suppress our knowledge about the negative aspect of it.

~5 WAYS TO AVOID GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOODS. (1.) Grow your own food. (2.) Seek products that are specifically labeled as non-GM or GMO-free. (3.) Avoid at-risk ingredients. (4.) Shop locally for organic foods. (5.) Doctors should prescribe non- gmo diets to everyone.
